October Door Decor!

I had such a blast creating a fun decorative door last month that I just had to do it again for October!  After a bit of brainstorming, cutting, rearranging, and gluing, here is the finished product!

My students each created their own darling little pumpkin for the door.  They LOVED contributing and I love how each one is totally unique and reflects their big personalities!

I've compiled everything that you need to make your own October door.  I get so many compliments on this and I know that you will too!  The packet includes the font and clipart templates, as well as detailed directions to help you make your own masterpiece.  It really isn't hard at all, and you will love the finished product!

You can get this door decor kit by clicking the link below.  Keep an eye out for more kits coming soon!  I have something REALLY cute in mind for November so make sure you follow along and subscribe so you don't miss out!

Halloween Classroom Party Kit

Halloween is just around the corner and that means it is time for our first classroom party!  My first graders are already building up excitement and, with such enthusiastic anticipation, I do not want our party to be a flop!  My room parents usually run the show (bless them), but I like to give them tips about having a successful party.  Stations are a must!  Having students in small groups that rotate around to different activities (led by a parent volunteer) ensure that everyone knows what is going on and is having a good time.

I'm excited to share with you today a little something that will make your party planning super easy this year!  I have created a brand new packet, a Classroom Halloween Party Kit, with all of the materials and directions that you (or your volunteers) need to throw a successful and fabulous party.  The prep isn't time-consuming, and the activities are varied and super fun!  Here's a closer look at what you will find in this party kit:

PARTY PREP
This section includes an invitation you can customize, volunteer sign-ups, materials checklist, and thank you notes for your volunteers.

CLASSROOM DECORATIONS
This section includes a darling bunting, door decoration, and various Halloween accents to get the environment just right for your party.

STATION ACTIVITIES
This section includes a bunch of engaging, yet simple-to-prep stations.  Choose as many as you need, I promise your kids will love them!

As you can see, this packet is full of really awesome resources to help make your classroom Halloween party a fabulous success!  This packet will be on sale throughout the rest of the week, so make sure you grab one quickly!

Blog Makeover 2018

Hey friends!  It has pretty much been nine hundred years since my last post and I APOLOGIZE!  I've been revamping the blog (what do you think of the makeover?!) and it is finally ready for to be seen and to be filled with fabulous new content!  Seriously, I have some good stuff in the works.  Just you wait!

But first, a little tribute to the genius behind the new look!  Designs by Kassie has been my go-to for blog design almost since the beginning of my blogging journey.  This may be an unpopular opinion, but I feel like a lot of teaching blogs nowadays are difficult to navigate and overwhelming at first.  I wanted a more traditional blog layout where you could easily find the most recent content, but also have easy access to popular posts and categories specific to what you are looking for.

I am so happy that you are here and I hope that the new look and layout will be beneficial to you as you gather teaching resources.  If there is anything specific that you would like to see, please contact me.  I love creating content for teachers and am eager to create and share exactly what you need!
